Our Restaurant
Filled with the aroma of delicious & freshly made foods and the joyful sounds of laughter among family and friends, our restaurant is comfy and cozy and a the two crackling fireplaces will keep you warm on those cold winter days.
Our menu comprises of the most delicious comfort food (also referred to as ‘boerekos’, or in English, ‘farm-food’) and we offer a basic child-friendly menu for the kids, as well as a dessert menu packed with a variety of delicious treats.
Bakery
If you and your family are anything like the Lesch family then you’ll no doubt fall in love with the irresistible treats on offer at our bakery!
We offer a wide variety of freshly baked goods including bread, pies, melktert, biscuits and rusks. These are just a few of the mouth-watering treats that you can expect to find at the Nuweplaas bakery.
Functions
Our multiple function spaces provide ample space for just about any event. We cater for casual family gatherings, (children & adult) birthday parties, kitchen teas, high-teas, stork parties, long-tables and much more.
The outdoor braai area is perfect for larger functions or casual gatherings between family and friends, and the indoor dining hall is great for those that prefer a bit more privacy.
Farm Stall
We offer a variety of goods that you would usually expect to find in a farm stall, except better! From the traditional homemade ginger-beer, chunky jams and chutneys, to an artistic selection of handmade arts-and-crafts, at Nuweplaas you can be sure to find a special treat for whole family.

Play Area
Our fully enclosed outdoor play area boasts a jungle gym, jumping castle, tractor and trailer rides, and an animal farm that children will fall in love with! There is plenty of open space for kids to run around and play to their hearts desire, while parents sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful farm environment that Nuweplaas has to offer.
We also offer an indoor play area for those cold and rainy winter days so kids will always be kept entertained, no matter the weather.
Location
Nuweplaas is situated in the scenic countryside of Malmesbury nearby the Riebeek Valley and Swartland Wine Route.
The Swartland Region offers a variety of fun things to do including clay pigeon shooting, wine and gin tasting, the Swartland Wine and Olive Route, and the annual Olive Festival happening every year during the month of May in the beautiful Riebeek Valley.
